The David – Up close and personal!

David is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture created between 1501 and 1504, by Michelangelo.  It is displayed in the Accademia Gallery, Florence, where it attracts many visitors.

In order to avoid a lengthy line, be sure to reserve tickets by calling 055 294883 from Italy.  Most hotels will make the call, but English speaking assistants are available too.  You will be given a confirmation code which you bring with you to Accademia Gallery to pick up your ticket 15 minutes before your reservation.  Either at Accademia Gallery or across the street (if open), you will pay for and pick up your tickets.  Thereafter, you will only have to wait on the short reservation line.  Bring your camera because photos are allowed!
