Museo dell’Opera del Duomo

Florence’s Museo dell’Opera del Duomo  recently reopened to the public after years of restoration and reconstruction. Located on 3 floors of exhibition space, pieces include Loreno Ghiberti’s Gates of Heaven and Michelangelo’s The Florentine Pieta. Other masterpieces of Arnolfo, Donatello, Luca della Robbia, Antonio Pollaiolo and Verrocchio are also housed in this 6000 square meter museum. Opera del Duomo is located at Via della Canonica, 1 which is behind the duomo.
