Arcetri
Arcetri is an area in Florence which in the hills above the city centre as well as Piazzale Michelangelo. It offers breathtaking views of the countryside and historic buildings such as the house of Galileo Galilei, Torre del Gallo and Convent of San Matteo.
If you are in the area and looking for a meal, try the famous Trattoria Omero located at Via Pian dei Giullari 47, Arcetri. This family run restaurant offers traditional Tuscan cuisine and has been in existence since 1943.
Arcetri can be accessed by car or bus number 38 from Porta Romana.
