Dim Sum

Dim Sum

After many months in Florence, I was craving Chinese food and especially dumplings!  So, I headed over to Dim sum located at 37R Via Neri. The restaurant is small so reservations are a must.  I’d also recommend calling at least 3 days ahead as we had a hard time reserving a table before 10:00 p.m on shorter notice.

There was a large selection of dumpling choices at Dim sum and I was happy to sample quite a few to satisfy my dumpling craving. The dumplings I tried were: lobster (my favorite) beef with porcini & tartufo, 2 different types of shrimp, cod, as well as vegetable dumplings. The dumplings were about 5 or 6 Euro for a portion of 3 except for the lobster wherein the portion was 2.

Spring rolls were crunchy, fresh and hot.

Noodles are made in house and you can watch the chef make them as you eat. We selected the crab noodles which were very tasty.

Service was fast and friendly but this isn’t a restaurant to sit in for hours due to the crowd waiting to be seated. In fact, we were told when we made the reservation that we needed to be finished an hour and 1/2 after our scheduled reservation. Green tea is served complimentary with refills.
