Run don’t walk to this Sicilian restaurant in Florence!  I honestly can’t remember the last restaurant that I went to that I was overwhelmed with delight by the combination of flavors and quality of dishes.  Daily specials are offered in addition to the regular menu so be sure to check the board where they are listed.

The antipasto misto was an extraordinary assortment of caponata, arancino, breaded eggplant and eggplant sicilian cheese.  The polpettine di pesce melted in your mouth.   A bed of sicilian pesto perfectly complimented the fried fish balls.

Nuvole Triglie e pistacchi were soft gnudi like pillows of ecstasy.  Spaghetti tartufi di mare was loaded with sea truffles and clams and finished with sprinkled parsley. Surra di Tonno was tuna fillet on a bed of greens that was a perfect marriage of fresh flavors.

Finally for dessert we had a cannolo which was a light cream filling inside a crispy shell accompanied by  Zibbibbo sweet wine.  Fabulous!

Service was friendly and helpful.  There is also a glass window where you can watch master chef Carmelo prepare the meals from your table.
