Impruneta

My friend asked me to join her in Impruneta for an annual market. The main purpose of our trip was for the pollo. She has been going to this annual market since she was a child and assured me that the chicken was something special.

Impruneta, known for it’s Tuscan terracotta, is about a 30 minute scenic drive from Florence. It is a lovely hill town and a nice place to spend a morning or afternoon.

This outdoor market takes place in Parco della Barazzina. There are many vendors selling crafts, household goods, clothes and food.

And yes, the pollo, was worth the trip.
